Our Legal scanning service includes:
-
Document Unitisation (separation)
At scan time we insert separator sheets to maintain and illustrate the physical document boundaries.
-
Photocopying of oversized documents
Simplifying the scanning process and enabling reviewers to see the whole image and not just a small section.
-
Scanning up to 600 dpi in Black and White, Greyscale or full colour
Client specified. This may also include flat bed scanning for odd size or poor quality documents.
-
Bates Numbering
Our scanners can imprint a Bates number on the front of each page which then also appears on each scanned image.
-
TIFF or PDF output
Or both if required
-
Keyword indexing
Enabling reviewers to filter the document set
-
Full Text OCR
Enabling reviewers to search through the document set.
-
Re-assembly
Documents are re-assembled into their original condition for return to client.
-
Coding
We are able to code to generally accepted guidelines and those agreed specifically with each client. This is also available off-shore with one of our overseas partners.
-
Data Conversion
We can convert most types of magnetic media data files into PDF format and extract metadata and convert to full text.
-
Re-Print
Our printing operation can re-print all scanned images in the Bates numbered sequence, and where required bind these to produce exact replica document sets.
-
Output to desired format
We are able to output images, metadata and full text files in formats which are acceptable to virtually any Document Management or Retrieval programme.
We treat each Legal Scanning project as a separate entity and agree the service levels and requirements with clients before commencement. This entails one or more project meetings and the production of a detailed Service Level Agreement by an e-Docs UK project manager.
